CURB INDUSTRIES
A Re-Brand for a local skate shop, the project was designed to begin to create a hype behind the brand. To generate a response from people outside of skateboarding, to generate a response from the local community rather than just the regulars in the shop.
I wanted to generate a very grubby, low-fi campaign, but that was executed in a way that created a clear brand and image for the shop. To reach a wider audience than the shop did before. To avoid alienating people who might not have an extensive knowledge of the industry, but to still appeal to those that do.
I wanted the campaign and the way that I implemented my logo and image to in some way echo the ethos and ideals in skateboarding and extreme sports today. For it to become slightly ambiguous, to reflect the mark that skateboarding makes within a community, by actually physically making a mark on the local environment with my pasted outcomes.
